The Global Takeover Of 'Minecraft' Earth Beta' Starts This Month


It's been a couple of months since we first heard about Minecraft Earth, the augmented reality version of Mojang's game that gives the real world a playground filled with your own blocky creations. The company promised that a beta version of the game this summer , and now, along with a new trailer, the company has announced that it will be available on iOS within the next two weeks with Android following "soon thereafter."



The launch of the game on iOS isn't a surprise since we first got a glimpse of live gameplay during WWDC last month. The trailer offers more information about the game. It's still worth taking a look at the Apple demo to find out if you have any questions.



You'll have to sign up on this page to play the game that is free. According to the FAQ, your device should be running iOS 10 or Android 7. Access is being limited while they work out the load on the servers of the game but you'll need to be active in it -- if you don't play for a period of seven days, then another player will be given your slot. To sign up, you'll require an account with Microsoft or Xbox Live account. Once  Netigre 've signed up, there is nothing more than to wait and build.
